Observations

A Free life does give us happiness but a meaningless life clouds that happiness.
Creating your own meaning is not the same as true meaning. It’s artificial.
By accessing true meaning your life can change in big ways. You become awake.
Prior to that you were asleep.
Access true meaning by returning to God.
Note there is no one forcing you to do this.
You do this of your own accord.
When you feel you are ready to awake and open your eyes.

The world of God !

What do I mean by the world of God ?

Its basically how we can think about God but in a positive way that leads to improvement of our life rather than applying unhelpful constraints on our life.

What again do I mean by that?

It means a way we can live with God being present but with us being happy with his presence rather than intimidated by threats of different kind.

How can we achieve that?

First we need to know where these threats of Hell come from. Generally they come from people who don't really understand the reality of life. Most likely they were taught that these are the teachings people must follow to be 'saved' and they accepted this teaching (wherever it may come from) as true, without challenging it or questioning it. So they tend to me small minded people because they haven't fully exercised their mind faculty yet. They simply take what they are given and follow. These kind, after a while, may realize that they were behaving stupid. Some though, may never be able to come out of that kind of mindset. They lock themselves into it. This may be a way for them to protect themselves from the uncertainties of life. So they cocoon themselves up like this. So one can try to help them come out of this fear of an uncertain life.

Now that we can dismiss those Hell warriors we can go after the real thing. The pure nectar of life. The thing that can seriously enhance our life. And this is the esoteric world. Or the more spiritual world. Here we simply start to use the intellect more on basic issues of life. From this questioning we can come out with some amazing realizations about life and existence that can really blow our minds and take us into new realms that were in front of us all the time but we were unable to see them at all.

Here is a sample of such thoughts:

  1. What is this life?
  2. The issue of what God is in the first place.
    1. Also does it have a gender? If not then why do we say he ?
  3. What does God actually want from us?
  4. What's God personality like?, is he/it really a good entity?
  5. Why Heaven and Hell and death?
  6. What does God want from this set up that he put us in?
    1. Whats does he/it get out of it?
  7. What happens when you take the path towards knowing God and slowly enter the world of God?
    1. What happens to you?

Here are the answers I have got to so far in my search journey (my best efforts so far):

  1. Its a journey. This life we live in is a journey of thought and awareness for each and every one of us. Reflecting and thinking about our life (including learning any lessons from mistakes) is very important. This is where the progress comes from. Without it there is no ascendance in awareness or spiritual knowledge, I believe.
    1. From that angle the events that come to you are there to teach us some lessons. We should look at them as signals for us to get something from. Everything that is happening is happening for a purpose. There is a driver behind it. There is someone triggering things.
  2. God is an entity that was always there. No one defined it. There was no one to define it. It defined itself and chose the perfect definition. A perfect entity. Full of life and power. Neither male or female but he is generally used for reference. Has created many creatures. We are one kind of them. For each creature It has a purpose It created it. It lives and it enjoys itself in its life with its creatures. It lives a happy and perfect life. It interacts with its human creatures for change. It wants to improve us. To make us into better humans i believe. It gave us the ability to grow and change.
  3. What God wants from us?
    1. One can say nothing. He is not in need of us. He/It created us. He just wants to work on changing us to become better people, but without forcing us. He wants us to allow him to change us I think. We need to choose to let him/it into our lives. He gives us that choice.
  4. His/Its personality is perfect. Good, beautiful, kind , forgiving and thankful even. Patient, forbearing and guiding. And proud at the same time, as well as magnanimous and almighty !
  5. This life is a training period as well as a testing period. After it there is an assessment day (Judgement day). After assessment we are placed in a new eternal life. Some may go to Hell for a period and then Heaven. Others will go direct to Heaven, and in the highest of places. All depending on how we did in our first life in this universe. Its not a trivial matter. A very heavy one really. Many may be oblivious to it. Or look at is a myths and legends. This section maybe very hard to accept.
  6. This setup has been created to facilitate training , learning and testing. We get to see the consequences of our actions and decisions. We can learn from the results. Learning and changing is very important. Its ok to err, the Creator is very forgiving. But as long as we correct ourselves and learn. He gets to interact with us and try to improve us.
  7. Moving towards God (thinking about It and life) you will start to see life differently. New things will become important to you, and previous things will be of no concern anymore. A refocusing exercise. A new you is born. You reincarnate, and you keep reincarnating (ie discovering a new you as your awareness changes). You become a new person, you are 'born' again as it were. A new life. Some may not want this I suppose. Depends how much attached to their current life style and current self they are.You will also see yourself as a soul in a body rather than just body. The soul is the true you and the body just the box it is in. The soul arrives during pregnancy and is returned on death. So we are visitors only, to this planet.Whilst here we develop and perform actions and then leave.
  8. What God is doing is observing us.
    1. While observing us he wants to develop us into better humans. He sees the kind of thinking we are doing in leading our life and wants to improve us and take us to higher levels of awareness and thought. So that better actions come out from us. But he doesnt want to force us to make those changes, he wants us to choose those changes ourselves. So he sends events that can help us move in such directions should we choose to. He is basically nurturing us. Bringing us up , helping us to grow spiritually (ie in awareness). But he does it in a beautiful way I believe, because its without force. He wants us to choose to allow him/it to change us. There is no force involved in our decision making. We can choose to deny him/it or to accept him/it. 100% our choice.
  9. The point of God changing us is to then assign for each of us a position in Heaven (not Hell). According to how well we have used our mind and developed, and according to the good that we have done whilst alive. Hell is for those who decided to reject God and wanted nothing to do with him or for those who decided to do evil instead of good during their life. There are also people that God does not like and will not help guide to Heaven but instead will pave a way for them to Hell, examples are arrogant people or those who repeatedly choose evil over good.
    1. One can ask why God would put in Hell those who choose to deliberately ignore and reject him/it. I think its a choice that it has made and its up to us whether to live with that or not. Some may choose to reject God because of that choice of his. They are free to do that. There is total freedom here. He has given us this total freedom in choice. So we should choose wisely as there maybe consequences. We each drive our lives to the destinations that are available. In the books of communications (eg the Quran/Bible etc) God has clarified about such issues. But note that some books may have been distorted by man. But please note that God's nature is good and not evil. But that he is proud too, and will not accept challenge from creatures that he made. Arrogance is not accepted from creatures. Only He/It has the right to be arrogant and proud. He/It is king of all existence and all worlds. I think it it this area that some may have difficulty as they may not be able to accept a proud God. Or they cannot see how an entity can be both proud and good at the same time. This is the uniqueness of this entity. It is very unique.
    2. As for those who choose not to reject Him/It they are the very lucky ones in my view. Because they have found their happiness and also been able to contain and restrict their ego. Having an even medium size ego is a killer when it comes to being able to reach God. God will not tolerate any ego (false pride) among its creatures. In Islam this is the reason why Satan was cast to Hell. He said he was better than Adam. Satan's ego was raised , and he paid for it severely. From that day he hated all humans. That is why he whispers to us to commit evil or reject God. Because he knows that Hell would be the consequence. Satan by the way is of a class of creature known as Djinn in Islam (beings we cannot see. There are good and bad Djinns and have free choice too). Satan is the leader of the bad Djinn I believe.
Already in my answers I think I have taken the reader far. I suspect each will be thinking according to their inner state. And then each will make their own 100% free choice about where to go next. Let me know what you think so far please. Can I improve on something? Are there any other important questions I have missed?

Thankyou

Science without belief and science with belief, a comparison.

Science without belief and science with belief, a comparison.

Today’s science is empirical and materialistic. If there is something it cannot see or sense then it shuts itself down and says nothing about it. It believes it should only talk about what it can see and measure. Even if there is a logical necessity for something to exist it will say since it cannot measure it then it will say nothing about it. And nor will it consider any theories that temporarily assume its existence. From that viewpoint it is very timid and scared. Scared to imagine something that exists that it cannot measure. So one can say it is a weak science. One that is scared to stretch itself outside it’s comfort zones.

Enter the science of belief. Many in the West may start laughing here, believing only their science is a true science. And that science based on belief in a creator entity is a very silly proposition. After all , religion has been proven to be of little use and mainly causes problems. We are now in a civilised era where religion has been debunked and any notion of a divine entity made irrelevant and insignificant in general. Especially if you listen to the media.

The above is the current western mindset that we eat and drink everyday in the West generally. Materialism is the new Divine. The new god to worship.

Enter the new paradigm shift that I believe may take us into a new age that is coming upon us. Known as the golden age. In it, materialism is mixed with spirituality 50:50 roughly. Creating a balanced world environment.

What is this Belief Science. Is it creationism / intelligent design or what ? You can say it is a bit of that but more. So here goes. The existence of a creator entity is not hard to show. Only if you have spiritual blindness can you not see it. Eg where does everything we see come from ? Something or Nothing. Or is what we see eternal and always existed ? The designs that exist in our world eg how the kidney works to purify our blood daily, is that design simply by chance or is there an Intelligence behind it ? Maybe many are ok to consider by chance but over millions of billions of years and then eventually these designs all came. No doubt many think like this today. And for me this is a type of conditioning that we have been subjected to but have not woken up to or realised. Eg that the universe came by chance and thus  from nothing. All very nice , simple mind conditioning. Put out a story and repeat it, then more and more will believe it.

So now i give to you a new conditioning and so you can now choose which conditioning is more likely to be true and which conditioning you would desire to be true. You may also think that both are of equal value. Each reader may come to their own unique conclusion.

The Belief based Science :
Key in this is not religion but understanding the nature of the creator entity and the logical necessity for its existence. What we see cannot come from nothing but must be from something. And so that we don’t go into an infinity chain of what does that something in turn come from we have to realise that the last something in the chain must be eternal ( ie no beginning). This will stop the chain and deliver it’s answer. But if this is hard to grasp and you like the infinite chain view then even this leads to an eternal entity. How ? An infinite chain is an eternal chain of things. And so that thing becomes itself an eternal entity. So you still come to the existence of an eternal thing whichever way you go.

So what about the unique nature of an eternal thing. This is where things now go very amazing. Why. Because an eternal thing means it was never designed. So it has no definition laid down on it. No blue print as the engineers would say. So what is this thing that has not been defined and yet must exist ? And what properties will it have ?
The answer I believe is that it will be infinite in all aspects. Eg knowledge , power , sight, Intelligence , life, freedom , ability to reason etc etc etc. Why ? Because there is no one to put a limit on it. On how it can be. Hence it must be an amazing thing.
This is definitely something that is worth exploring further and also verifying. It’s a very new concept for our age. An age that doesn’t think deeply and is scared to imagine beyond the material. We need to wrap our minds around this concept so we can encapsulate it’s meaning and consequences. And the more thinking and contemplation we do around this the more our mind is able to expand and break out of this tiny matrix of limitation that we have built for ourselves and in which we live. True intellectual freedom comes through deep exploration of this concept I believe.  And I believe that one can explore it infinitely and still find more to explore. This is how powerful and awesome it is. It’s a concept humanity has lost touch with in our age and is living in negligence of. ie humanity has forgotten this concept and despite the power existent within it. The golden age represents a rediscovery of this concept and hence an awareness of this entity. What it’s relation to us is and so on. Who is willing to excavate on this path ? To create a new pathway in their mind. That connects them to this new world. The world of Science based on Belief. Belief in what ? Belief in this entity with its unique properties. Can this entity talk with us? Ofcourse it can. It is unlimited in ability. So it definitely can talk and argue and have a intellectual discourse with us.

In the many books it has sent to humanity it does this. Through its messengers and prophets in the history of humanity it has done this. But today such issues have been dismissed and the connection broken. We have lost touch. We are not linked in any more. We have stopped connecting the dots with it/ to it.

Belief based science is about being aware of it. Knowing what it has said. Knowing it’s personality and then re-understanding this world through this new framework. This gives us an entrance to a new world and we can exist this old one.

We have knowledge from it about what it has done before and how it portrays our history in its eyes. Who were those prophets and what happened. How peoples and societies were in the past. Also what about the future for humans. Those questions get answered.

But from the science perspective we now have a Nature that has been designed for human habitation. A universe that has been designed to show the awesome abilities of its maker to us. And we have each been given a lifetime in which to think and ponder over our presence and existence in this huge universe whilst living on a tiny rock.

We can look at the designs and see the intricate artwork. We can observe the rainbow and see the magic placed here. Also all the different creatures and their different designs. Those producing milk for us and those producing meat. Those producing fruit for us and those cleansing the air. A design that raises the Sun each day and then sets it so we can rest. This immaculate design has been operating yet most of us are not able to see it. Too busy going after our jobs and been filled with conditioning that it’s all to do with chance. No awareness of the concept and thus no connection with a framework.  Your heart pumping as you read this and your lungs expanding. And it’s all a chance thing we get told.

Belief based science is about to come in. Material based science about to have a spiritual skin. The golden age about to set in.

Recondition yourself to this new framework. Or at least try to see it side by side with the existing one. You may then see which is superior.

An interesting verse in the Quran.

It says a day of your Lord is equivalent to 1000 years of ours.(Note this is also stated in the Bible)
And a year of ours is determined by the moon (lunar calendar). So when we calculate the total distance the moon travels around the earth over a period of 1000 years we get a certain very large distance. Now if we ask how long does it take Light to travel that big distance, the answer surprisingly is about 26.4 hrs in a rough calculation. So it is close. I havent done a exact calculation yet as would need to take account that the orbit is elliptical and not circular.

Calculation

Distance from earth to moon (call it r for radius): 384,400 km
Distance the moon travels in one lunar month (ie 2𝝅r)
lunar month lasts 29.53 days. So after 12 lunar months, you're about about 354 days. So assume there are 12 lunar months in one year.

So distance traveled by moon in 1 year = 12 * 2𝝅r = 24𝝅r

So distance traveled in 1000 years is 24000𝝅r

Speed of light in vacuum is 299,792 kilometers per second (call it s)

Time= Distance / Speed

So time in seconds taken for light to travel that distance is 24000𝝅r/s

Time in days is that divided by 60*60*24  (secs mins hours)

Thus Time in days for light to travel the distance travels in 1000 earth years is

   24000𝝅r           10 𝝅r
-----------------  = --------
s * 60*60*24       36 s

= 10 * 3.14159265359 * 384400/(36*299792)1.1189500795 days

I am off by 12% in my calculation. If the distance from earth to moon was 340,000 km instead of 384,400 km then it would be exact if it was a circular orbit. So if the moon was 12% closer (ie 40,000 km closer) then it would be accurate. The strange thing is that the difference between the semi major and semi minor axes of the elliptical orbit is 12% too (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orbit_of_the_Moon) so perhaps this may explain the innacuracy.

Is God everywhere?

My understanding of Allah/God being everywhere:
I believe Allah does not have a body. Thus place is not relevant to him. He is everywhere without being everywhere. ie He has awareness of everywhere without needing to be there.

What does worshipping God actually mean?

What does it mean to worship God (or Allah) ?

Bismillah
This is my view. And it is similar to the Sufi view as well as other mystic traditions I believe.

If you hear someone eg a teenager say "I worship that singer" what does it mean to you?
Does it mean they have fallen very deeply in love with them? Their room maybe full of posters adoring that singer. And their talk will revolve constantly about him and what their next album is and what he said in his latest song etc. It's as if that artist has taken full control of their mind. And they will become very loyal to him/her. And the singer will become their idol. And an idol is another name for a god ( from idolatry meaning multiple gods).

The above is what true worship is. A deep falling-in-love. And the thing you love becomes your god (the idol ). So if God (or Allah, or Jehova etc) says in its book that it created man to worship it then what does that mean? Or if he says that we were created to worship it, what does that mean? It means, to me, that it wants us to know it, discover it ( as it is hidden and invisible ) and then fall in love with it. But why would we fall in love with it? It must therefore be something amazing. Eg truly unlimited in all powers. Can really and actually do everything. Even magic of all sorts (real magic not fake). Something beyond what we can imagine. And at the same time be wise and intelligent. How is that for an idol !Will it beat a pop star? This is close to what my understanding of worshipping God/Allah/Jehova etc means. This is the essence and how it was meant to be understood originally. Until the church and priesthood done a hijacking and turned it into fear and forced obedience and threats of Hell. This is were we are today. And we have been here for such a long time too. A great big misunderstanding of God and worship. And it explains why we are spiritually lost. For who wants to worship an evil dictator as a god? No one. Hence religion has become a moot subject. Mostly filled with understandable negatives.

Enter the new age. The so called Golden age that some believe humanity is currently approaching (I do too ). What's going to change in it? A very good question. The picture of God will change. From an evil dictator eager to throw us in Hell to something completely different. What ?

The real God I believe has the following characteristics (at least):
1- Not evil at all. But the opposite. Very fair and just.  And also full of love.
2- God is beautiful and wonderful as well as amazing. Able to design things and materialise things.
3- That he/it/she created us humans and brought us down here on this planet for a short period of testing and learning. As well as training.
4- That those who think and use their mind correctly will be the winners. Whilst those who follow others blindly will be amongst the losers. So it's vital to be able to think for ourselves and develop an independent mind. Conditioning and dogma is not the way. Questioning and full curiosity is. As well as courage to challenge all thoughts. These minds we have , God wants us to use them. And not to refrigerate them. So get them churning. [ A side note to those who think religion is just blind faith and dogma : you haven't seen anything of true religion yet and you have a big wake up ahead of you]
5- There is a plan and there is a guidance. If we seek the guidance and play a role in that plan then prepare for an amazing life and for great success in the next one.
6- The foundation for this change within each one of us I believe is to remove the current picture of God that we have (brutal dictator) and replace it with a completely new picture. This new foundation is seriously vital. Without it, no significant change can happen I think. We need to know ( and discover) how the true amazing God is. A vital prerequisite.

Below is an article that can help in that:
"Logic for the existence of the Devine Spirit"
http://creationismtheories.blogspot.com/2013/06/logic-for-creator-of-everything.html

Now going back to what worshipping God now means , under this new understanding. It means that once we think and ponder and discover God we will actually fall in love with him. (Note I use him/it/her interchangeably because god is not a human but above human. And is neither male nor female. And using "it" doesn't always feel correct. God is unique).

So if we fall in love with God what does that mean? It means , to me at least, that we will find him/it as truly amazing and worthy of being loved and amazed with. But the journey to this state maybe long depending on how much impurity we have to cleanse ourselves and hearts off. It can be a long journey. But once arrived it will be a new life. A new beginning. Born again sort of thing. Good luck to you.

Peace

PS: Some religious folk already see God as love and goodness. This article isn't for you. You have already travelled far and been resistant to TV conditioning.

Are Muslims allowed to vote in a secular system?

Bismillah Ar Rahman Ar Raheem
(In the name of Allah the very merciful and the very good)

This question and the debate seems to come up every election with people like HT (Hizb ut tahrir) and some salafi/wahabi groups saying no because it means we believe in a non Islamic system when we participate in the voting process. Others like sheikh Imran Hossein (not salafi or wahabi) argue that it means you are saying that sovereignty doesn't belong to Allah when you vote and that it belongs to the people (and for him this is unislamic).

On the other side, others says it's fine to vote because you are choosing the lesser of two evils and so doing a benefit to society. And others may say it's a duty to vote so that you help in benefitting society.

My current view is that it's a duty to benefit society and hence we should vote for the party we think is best for the society. I feel in the uk that Corbyn is an honest politician and so he is 1000 times better than the Tories who I feel are liars and are controlled by the Elite and the deep state much more than Labour under Corbyn. So all people (Muslim and otherwise ) should vote for honesty and anti Elite.

The fact that both parties carry laws that aren't Islamic isn't the point. The point is to help get the best party that we can in power. And today I think it's labour under Corbyn. And I see this as a Muslim duty because muslims should be good and positive citizens. And it doesn't mean we believe in all labour policies. Just we feel it is the better party. And by a significant margin.

This is my view.
Furthermore my thinking also is that a secular state is actually an Islamic state as long as it allows an Islamic party to exist and get voted for. People can then choose which party (and hence which laws they want in power ). I don't see any contradiction with Islam on this. In fact the opposite, I feel and believe this is Islam. True Islam. The other version of Islam that currently exists ( it maybe called political Islam or Islamism) is all about forcing people to have just one type of party ( Islamic ). And only one type of law ( Islamic ). To me this isn't Islamic. True Islam for me is about giving people freedom. They choose for themselves if they want Islam or non Islam. This is how Allah/God wants people in a society to be. To be free to choose how they want to live and not have a minority imposing their view on them and creating an unfree dictatorship. In fact this is why many muslims come to the West. To enjoy the freedom that exists. So there is plenty of hypocrisy amongst us muslims today.
